This 5-day course is for mariners who are required to have a radar endorsement on their license in conjunction with STCW-95, and whose vessels are ARPA equipped.
This course includes simulator radar plotting designed to enable the mariner to make efficient and effective use of radar as a navigational aid in congested, confined waters, recognize potential threats and make valid navigational and collision-avoidance decisions base on sound radar observations.
Upon completion of the course, students take a USCG-approved exam right here at AMA. A certificate of completion will be given if the student successfully passes the exam. The student can then submit that certificate to the USCG as an endorsement to their license.
