This course is designed for those students who are required to have the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW-95) endorsement. STCW-95 is a hands-on course for training in survival, safety, social responsibilities, fire fighting, and first aid/CPR.
This certification is required of all mariners on vessels of over 200 tons going beyond the boundary lines, and the master of any vessel requiring a licensed Captain going into foreign waters.
Upon completion of each module, students take a USCG-approved exam right here at AMA. A certificate of completion will be given if the student successfully passes the exams. The student can then submit that certificate to the USCG as an endorsement to their license.
